galloping, galloping go his mighty steeds.
This page lists all my horses. Just because they are on this page, doesn't mean they are for sale. If they are for sale, they will be listed as for sale. Most of them I just have on here to show them off as a proud mom. :) If you are interested in purchasing one of my horses, you are welcome to make an offer if it is not priced. However, I love my horses and all of them are quality horses so please do not make me low-ball offers. All my horses are fat, healthy, sound, and sane. They are kept on a regular rotation deworming program and get regular hoofcare. Occasionally I will list other people's horses on here that they are trying to sell. If that's the case, I will say that in the ad for the horse and either list the contact information or be the seller's spokesperson.
*Please note: Our horses will only be sold to approved homes. We reserve the right to not sell our horse(s) to anyone who, for any reason, we deem an inappropriate home for our horse(s). This is for no other reason than our horses are like family and they must be cared for as such.
*I would consider trades for: good quality alfalfa or alfalfa mix hay in small square bales, a nice 4-wheeler, or possibly a gentle jersey heifer/cow.

Bandit
Pony
Bandit is a very cute little 10 year old 42 inch bay pony. He has a snip on his nose and a partial blue eye. He is broke to ride and is used to being handled by children. He is great on trails, following other horses, and also makes a good leadline pony. Would be a great family pony or pony party/leadline pony. He's really a sweet guy. :) More pictures available at http://luckywranch.synthasite.com/bandit.php. If you're interested in leasing, please let me know and I can send a copy of the lease agreement.

Pistol Packing Zippo
APHA Mare
Pistol Packing Zippo a.k.a. Pistol, is a 16 H, 1250 lb, 6 year old mare with performance, race, and halter bloodlines. Check out her awesome pedigree!! Pistol is bred to do anything, has perfect conformation and is very broke. She will spin a hole in the ground, stop on a dime, side pass, etc. She is an awesome all-around horse. She is suitable for any discipline...she moves like a dressage horse and is athletic enough to run barrels, rope off of or jump. She has more athletic ability than any horse needs, has great cattle sense, is well-started on barrels, high lopes with good turns, ready to be taken on and hauled. She is also started on poles as well. She has a kind heart. She has worked cattle and had a rope swung off of her. She is very cowy. She will track a cow with very little help. She has dragged heavy logs dallied to her saddle horn. She loves to pull and work. She is not spooky and is a wonderful trail horse. She goes wherever you point her. She has a competitive spirit and a willing to work attitude. She will ride western and english. She has a little experience in jumping and dressage as well as western events. She has siblings running barrels and roping in the rodeo circuit and doing very well.
I have had her since she turned two and broke her to ride myself so I know everything about this mare. I also broke three of her siblings to ride, I ran barrels on her brother for years and he is now running barrels for a 9 year old girl and winning like crazy! I've ridden her mother as well. Her family is well-known to me and they are all really nice horses. She has been taken care of since day one and is up to date on all vaccinations and worming. She will bath, clip, shoe, load, trailer, etc. She has no vices or health/soundness issues. No holes whatsoever!
She was bred to Ikes Tivio, a Poco Tivio, Driftwood, Ed Echols stud, for an '07 foal. She had a very cute bay filly "Cricket" with a big blaze and three white socks on June 20th, 2007. This filly is extremely nice! She is built out the wazoo with muscle everywhere and lots of pizazz! She looks like a halter horse but has a performance pedigree...and boy, can she move! Great personality and spirit. Everyone, who comes to our place, comments on what a looker she is. She is the most friendly little filly I've ever been around. I think she will take after her mother. Her pictures are in her section below (Ikes Smokin Pistol). Pistol's '08 colt, "Stormy", is absolutely stunning! His section is below. Pistol is an awesome mom, she had no trouble concieving and no trouble foaling. She has plenty of milk and is a great broodmare. She is very tolerant of people being around her baby and will let you get between her and the foal. She just talks to her the whole time, telling her it's okay. She is protective of her around other horses but not overly aggressive. The perfect mare!! More pictures at http://luckywranch.synthasite.com/pistol.php.
*Pistol is vet checked in foal and will foal in late August 2009. The purebred Friesian stallion, Zayin, can be seen below. There are even more pictures of him and of his parents on Pistol's picture page http://luckywranch.synthasite.com/pistol.php.

Pistols Poco Storm
APHA Stud Colt
Pistol had a very flashy loud bay roan tovero paint stud colt on May 31, 2008 at 4:00 am. He has two beautiful blue eyes and great markings. His sire is Drifting Blue Tivio, he can be seen in his own section. This colt is going to be so nice! He is strong and healthy and already has a great personality. He is very friendly and loves attention. I can call him and he will leave his mother to come to me. He loves to be scratched and played with. You can already touch and rub him anywhere on his body, legs, face, etc. He picks up all four feet with no problems. Picture above was taken October 17 so he is 4 months old.
UPDATE: Stormy is now weaned and halter broke. He is a powerhouse with muscle everywhere!! He is very sweet and loving. Very easy to handle and is doing wonderfully. He is smart and sweet, sweet, sweet! :) More pictures at http://luckywranch.synthasite.com/stormy.php.

Boogers Driftn Tivio
AQHA Gelding
Booger was foaled March 19, 2006. The picture above was taken in November 2008. Isn't he gorgeous?! He is a big horse. He is about 15.1 H and very stout and still growing! He is started under saddle, halter broke and picks up all four feet. This horse is as gentle and laid back as they come. He is fearless and kind. He loves attention and loves to be scratched. We bought him to be used for roping and barrel racing and possibly be a stud prospect. We decided to geld him as we have too many horses as is so he is a gelding. He has the looks and the pedigree to do the job. Check out his awesome pedigree!! He is solid bay, no markings and extremely stocky with great conformation. And he is going to be huge!! He has cow breeding on top and race breeding on bottom. He is a very pretty colt and has a cute head. He is sweet and he is easy going and easily trained. He only needed two days to learn how to lead and pick up his feet. He started riding like he'd done it before. He loads and unloads in the trailer and ties up and stands good. He longes like a pro and is very willing to learn. He is an extremely people oriented colt and will do anything to be rubbed on, he's very loveable. He would be a lap horse if we let him! He gets along with other horses, goats, cats, dogs, and children. He looks like he's got halter blood in him, he's so built! He has a very personable nature and loves to please. This horse is going to be something really special and we will keep him happily if he doesn't sell. Once I get a few others sold, Booger will come off the market.
UPDATE: When Booger is ridden, he acts like he's done it a hundred times. He has been ridden in the arena and in the pasture and on trails. At 2 years old, Booger is already over 15 H and built like a freight train! He is being ridden with saddle and O-ring bit and also bareback in just a halter. He has also been hauled to different locations and arenas to ride and it makes no difference in his attitude. He is very gentle and even after months of no riding, a person can hop on and go ride, no problem. Booger was ridden by a 9 year old girl (she's been riding 1 year) bareback in a halter for his 7th ride and they got along great! Booger has been hauled to local shows and all the commotion of the show environment never phased him. He will ride in the confusion of the warm-up arena, as well as stand quietly while kids run their horses back and forth or those "crazy barrel horses" go running by sideways. This gelding is a gem!
Booger's Pedigree
This is a once in a lifetime horse! More pictures at http://luckywranch.synthasite.com/booger.php.
Casper
WCMHR Miniature Horse Stallion
We are really excited about adding Casper to our herd. He is a gorgeous 2000 cremello category B (38") miniature stallion with very refined, correct build. His head is dished with very expressive eyes, foxy little ears, his neck is long and arched, and his body is perfectly proportioned. His legs are straight and correct. Casper has fantastic, animated movement and is an absolute delight to watch. Pictures do not do him justice! He is a proven sire and makes gorgeous babies. He has two fillies on the ground, a buckskin pinto and a palomino pinto! He is guaranteed to throw dilute colors. This means no matter what color mare he's bred to, he will only produce buckskins, palominos, cremellos, perlinos, and possibly smokey blacks, and smokey creams! For example, bred to a bay, he will always throw buckskin or palomino; bred to a sorrel, he will always throw palomino; or bred to another cremello or a perlino, he would throw only cremello or perlino. (*Exception on gray mares: foals will be born a dilute color but 50% of foals will turn gray). If you have a question about the possibilities if bred to your mare, just ask. I'd be happy to fill you in on the exciting possibilities! :)
Casper is broke to ride and has been a kid's riding horse in the past. He has a good personality for a stallion and doesn't have any mean-ness in him. We plan to break him to pull a cart as well as using him for pony rides. He will look awesome and flashy pullling a cart! :) He will be standing at stud this spring to the public at the special introductory fee of only $50! A 50% deposit will hold your spot and the balance is due when you drop off your mare. Live Foal Guarantee and Dilute Color guarantee! Mare care is free if you provide hay/feed; $4 per day if I provide hay/feed for mare.
Casper is registered with WCMHR (World Class Miniature Horse Registry). He was tested by UC Davis Veterinary Genetics lab and is proven genetically a/a, e/e, Cr/Cr (true cremello).

Amigo
AQHA Gelding
If you can't afford to buy a horse but still want to ride and have one of your "own", leasing is an option that we offer. Amigo is one that we offer for lease. Amigo was my first horse. He is very special and will never be sold. To read more about Amigo, please see his page (link at the top of page). Amigo is on-farm lease only, meaning he must stay here. He loves attention and still enjoys a good trail ride or even just walking around the arena or yard. He is unable to do anything faster than a slow trot and mostly just walks but still enjoys. So, if there is anyone wanting to lease a horse for trails or just walk, trot work in the round pen, Amigo is the right horse for you. He is extremely special to me and has to be on special treatment for his leg therefore he can not leave my place but if someone were to lease him, they could ride around here. I have places here available, pens and trails that can be used. Amigo is a special horse and still loves to be used. Once you meet him, you won't want to stop riding him. I will lease him for only $50 per month. I will pay for all feeding and supplement costs as well as all veterinary costs. Lessee will only be responsible for farrier the leasing fee. Also, if you are leasing a horse from me, discounts are available with my riding lessons and summer horse camps. If you have any questions at all, feel free to email me. Amigo is safe for anyone to ride. I have horses for sale and others I would consider leasing as well. Amigo is NOT for sale. Please let me know if you are interested in leasing Amigo or another horse. I have others that are completely sound that could be leased as well so don't hesitate to ask. Lessee must sign a lease contract before leasing one of my horses.
