Lucky W Ranch

 Goats

I keep a closed herd. If I ever do add a goat, they are stalled away from my existing herd until I am sure they are free of illness, parasites, or disease. That way I keep a very healthy, happy herd. My goats are frequently checked for parasites and dewormed as needed on a rotation schedule and have their feet trimmed as needed. All of my goats are loved and must go to good homes.

MY HERD: To learn more about how I care for my goats see http://luckywgoatinfo.synthasite.com/. This includes basic care, management, and general information about dairy breeds, including the Nigerian Dwarf.

PRICING: Our bucks will range in price from $75 to $200; wethers from $60 to $120; our does from $175 to $300. These prices apply to all breeds of goats. These are quality goats, keep in mind you get what you pay for. I prefer to be paid in cash. If paying with a check, the goat(s) can not leave until the check has cleared (usually about a week).

DEPOSIT: A 50% non-refundable deposit will hold the kid of your choice until it is weaned or the goat of your choice for a maximum of 1 week before you need to pick them up unless otherwise arranged.

BUCK SERVICE: If you are interested in breeding your doe(s) to one of my bucks, I will do that only if your doe is CL and CAE free and has been on a good deworming schedule. Your doe(s) must have been dewormed within 10 days of arriving here. I prefer they have been dewormed with Ivomec Plus or Valbazen as these are the most effective dewormers available for goats. They must be completely healthy with no history of disease. Service fees are $25 for one doe, $20 each for 2 or more does. There is a $1/day boarding fee while they are here to cover feed costs or you can provide high quality feed and waive the boarding fee.

BUCKLINGS: If you are wanting a buckling, please contact me ahead of time because I castrate at 1-3 weeks of age. I can put you on a waiting list for specific bucklings-certain colors or out of certain parents. This way I won't have castrated something you would have wanted for breeding. I can also put you on a waiting list for certain colored doelings or doelings out of certain parents.

DISBUDDING: I do not disbud all my kids but can have your choice of kid disbudded for $10, please tell me as soon as possible because if their horn buds get too big, they cannot be disbudded. I will not disbud your choice until you have put a deposit on him/her and paid the disbudding fee.

We are constantly having kids born so check back with us periodically to see what we've got. I add them as they are born. The doelings will be listed under their mothers, not at the top of the page, so please scroll down to see all new additions. The bucklings and wethers will be listed on the buck/wether page, http://luckywranch.synthasite.com/bucks-and-wethers.php. There is no particular order in breeds...sorry, to those looking for a specific breed, you'll just have to wade through all of them! :)

*Please note: Our goats will only be sold to approved homes. We reserve the right to not sell our goat(s) to anyone who, for any reason, we deem an inappropriate home for them. This is for no other reason than our goats are like family and they must be cared for as such.

Don't forget to see our fiber animal page to see our fiber goats and sheep! :)

**New kids added March 2009!**

Does and doelings are below. To see our boys, both bucks and wethers please see http://luckywranch.synthasite.com/bucks-and-wethers.php.
